A structured self-assessment, not a valuation. The weights are our judgement, based on the projects we have delivered: treat the score as a conversation starter, not a verdict.

Deal with this first

You have no evidence anyone wants this yet. Every other score on this page is a guess until that changes, and it is by far the cheapest thing to fix.

Your first three moves

  1. Interview 20 people who have the problem. Do not describe your solution: ask what they do about it today and what it costs them. If fewer than half have tried to solve it themselves, the pain is not sharp enough yet.
  2. Spend a few days building only the riskiest technical piece: the integration, the algorithm, the scale question. Not a prototype of the product: a proof that the hard part is possible.
  3. Ask ten prospects what they would pay, then ask them to pre-pay a deposit for early access. The gap between the two answers is the real number.

How the score is calculated

Each of the five dimensions starts at a baseline of 50 points. Every one of the nine answers moves one or more dimensions by hand-calibrated plus or minus weights, and each dimension's total is clamped between 3 and 97, so no combination of answers can produce false certainty.

The overall score is a weighted average of the five dimensions: demand 32%, product 22%, feasibility 18%, compliance 14%, competition 14%. Demand carries the most weight because a lack of it is what most often kills a venture, and nothing on the other axes can compensate for it.

The weights are editorial calibration, not measurement: they come from the same family of scorecard methods that angel investment networks have used for years. The score is not a prediction of success; the same answers always produce the same result, and its purpose is to make your priorities visible.
